Founded by visionary designer Stephan Doesinger, Dozyrugs mission is to create high-quality rugs that tell stories and connect people. In a world that often rushes past, DozyRugs invites you to pause, relax, and indulge in luxury. We want our rugs to be places for dreamers and lovers come together. Places where time stands still. DozyRugs are islands of freedom, where you can safely doze off and chase your daydreams. Places that invite you to share and create new memories together with your loved ones.

Our Inspiration

 

Drawing inspiration from literary figures like Melville's Bartleby and Goncharov's Oblomov, DozyRugs champions the luxury of leisure. In our fast-paced society, the brand and every single rug serves as a reminder of the mental health benefits of taking a moment to relax and daydream. Each rug, inspired by themes ranging from Sim City to the German Bauhaus, is a testament to Doesinger's innovative approach to AI design.

Our Design​

Stephan Doesinger introduces a unique blend of AI-driven design and vibrant craftsmanship, setting a new standard for luxury rugs. With a rich background from Alessandro Mendini's studio in Milan and a deep dive into cinematic architecture at the Architectural Association in London, Stephan brings a unique narrative to each rug. Stephan considers design objects like rugs as "tools of memory". Therefore every piece tells a story, a spatial narrative, transporting its owner to a realm where time stands still.

Sustainable Happiness

​

DozyRugs are made for generations! We call that sustainable happiness! - While others may use AI for machine-made designs, Dozyrugs´commitment to handcrafted luxury sets it apart. Therefore our hand-tufted rugs are manufactured with a weight of 4,500 GSM (grams per square meter). The high density of the yarn used gives our DozyRugs a special stability and the highest quality. In addition, we manufacture our carpets with a pile height of 12mm. Cheap carpets are often manufactured with only 500 - 700 GSM and a pile height of only 5 - 7mm. Why this matters? - Well, you will notice the difference when you walk barefoot on our rugs or cuddle on them. DozyRugs guarantees you with maximum quality a sensual pleasure in a class of its own for generations to come!

Making Of Handtuftes Rugs

For production, DozyRugs is working together with a professional partner company in India. Their rug weavers are able to realise even the most complex designs with up to 20 colours. After hand-tufting DozyRugs are carved and contours are cut by hand. You´ll love it!

Making Of Digitally Printed Rugs

​

Some of our AI-generated designs cannot be realized as hand-tufted carpets. We have therefore decided to include digitally printed carpets in our range. These rugs are also significantly more affordable. Nevertheless, their quality is outstanding. The carpets are made from high-quality polyamide and are printed in Germany using state-of-the-art machines. The carpets are heated in a heat-calender so that the dye penetrates to the very bottom tips, allowing the dye to penetrate the entire carpet. The result: Affordable carpets in perfect quality that are also suitable for allergy sufferers.
